Work around memory leak in Snappy library

See https://github.com/xerial/snappy-java/issues/131; it looks like there is a memory leak in the snappy-java Java which we should work around in Spark. We could wait for a new version of the library, but I think we should just make a one- or two-line change in Spark to mask the issue.
