Improve the usage of the SegmentWriter for compaction

I would like to improve how the SegmentWriter is used for compaction. In particular I dislike how the SegmentBufferWriter needs to be looped into SegmentWriter.writeNode().
Furthermore creating a SegmentWriter for offline compaction with its own cache (instead of using the caches we have) is a bit wasteful wrt. to memory.
