NPE in Notification, while background scanning takes forever

After install of NB 12.3 and importing the settings from 11.3 (about the last version I can use productively), it does background infinitely, and NPEs pop up all the time. Logs attached, I will try now if Eclipse IDE will be the future for me. NB performance and stability have become a nightmare, not mentioning the annoying "Enter Glassfish credentials" dialogs appearing every 20-30 min (depending on load).
