Improve travis.yml

Details

    Description

      travis.yml used an unsupported operating system (trusty - 14.04), updated to bionic (18.04).

      Switched to openjdk8, because OracleJDK8 gets no updates (current version 1.8.0_151)

      Removed a unnecessary workaround, because of a travis fix in 2017.

      install: skip is the right way to skip the installation phase
