test jar not deployed to the configured Deployment Repository Directory

My pom contains :
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-jar-plugin</artifactId>
<executions>
<execution>
<goals>
<goal>test-jar</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
This is to deploy a test jar file.
The jar file is deployed to the continuum repo but not the test-jar.
