An anecdotal ticket until I can dig further. The monitor gets really slow when there is a large number of migrations that need to happen. For example, create a table. Then add 1000 splits. All tablets are assigned to one tserver until they are migrated. May even queue up needed migrations from other tables behind those 1000 migrations.
