    Description

      As described in https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/25665, build/mvn attempts to download Maven from the ASF mirrors. But these are only guaranteed to have the latest release in each branch. If older ones are removed, this script fails, and that's a problem for older releases at least.

      We can try falling back to archive.apache.org in this case.
