Solr 4.10 sharded collection issues when SSL is enabled

We have a 3 node solr cloud installation running on version 4.10. There is one collection that’s sharded. After enabling SSL, we are unable to query the sharded collection. Other non sharded collections are ok. We are getting this error:

“no servers hosting shard:”

I’ve googled and seen reports of this issue, but have not seen a resolution.
