SemanticAnalyzer cleanup - visibility + types

Cleaning up SemanticAnalyzer:

• reduce the visibility of those functions/variables that are too wide, so their scope is clearer
• modify the type of data structures, use interface instead of actual implementation (e.g. HashMap -> Map in variable declaration)
