Ability to choose JVM (export JAVA_HOME) for different projects

Although it's possible to configure compile-plugin, surefire etc to use specific JVM's - there should be an option to specify the JVM (e.g. export JAVA_HOME before executing mvn) as different plugins and so on migth require a specific JVM.
